that tool is as is, I just made it work on the syno by the package center way. This simple concept was suggested by myself and others back when Moments came out - unless i'm missing something with new Synology Photos, nothing has changed in this regard but I"m hoping I'm wrong and someone will show me how/why Synology Photos is great and worth 4 years of their work. just a message to say that I made a package to use exiftool on Synology nas. ![]() ![]() It may be some weird old google method that they no longer do anymore with edited files, not sure honestly. However, my library has VERY few of these, so I will likely ignore it. If today I scan a photo from the 1980s, I will label the filename "1983.03.23 Easter Sunday family dinner"Īnd I want Synology's photo package to display that image in 19 when it was scanned/created. exiftool -r -d s -tagsfromfile 'd/F-edited.json' then continue on. Still has no method to handle Dates Displayed on properly curated filenamesĪnyone who has lots of photos often invests the time to use detailed filename labeling system. I spent some time with the new Synology Photos and to me, it acts just like existing Synology Moments Much press was written about the 'new' Synology Photos package, supposed to combine Photo Station + Moments
